Hailed by NY Magazine as “New York City’s best sounding Mariachi band,” directed by Ramon Ponce, Sr., and his son Ramon Ponce, Jr., Mariachi Real de México has become one of the most respected and dynamic mariachi ensembles in the United States.
The NYC-based group is celebrated for its artistry, authenticity, and dedication to preserving the rich cultural traditions of Mexico while presenting them on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and The Smithsonian Institution. They have been invited to perform at the White House, and can be heard on Bruce Springsteen’s “The Lost Chorro” and Tito Puente’s Grammy award winning “Masterpiece.”
