Awareness Inspires Conservation: Saving The Sharks, 4/11 @ 7 PM

While sharks are awesome, they are also misunderstood. The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy (based in Cape Cod, Massachusetts) is working to change that by providing shark education and outreach to the general public.

The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy is the region’s leading white shark research non-profit organization. Since 2013, they have provided funding and resources to get a more accurate picture of shark movements as well as how many sharks take up seasonal residency in the waters off Cape Cod. In 2019, a new wave of research to better understand shark behavior began.

This education talk will cover ongoing white shark research projects being funded by the AWSC, and how that research is impacting conservation and public safety efforts.
